ASALT  is a NGO developed in order to engage with the young people in the social construction and build the future today by educating and supporting the next generations.

The aim of the organisation is to promote young people, youth workers and communities in development for improving the national and international social environment and educational standards.

ASALT organization stands for: knowledge, culture, freedom, democracy, equality, transparency, communication, synergy, over all respect for human life, rights and freedom.

Developing the future generation is one of the main focus points, by promoting multiculturalism and universal concepts in the key tone of preserving individualism and the home culture.

Our long term objectives are:

  • Dissemination of our core values like: multiculturalism, youth development, independent critical thinking, activism, and social involvement;
  • Building an international network of youth based on educational values. Multiculturalism, sense of initiative and free thinking;
  • Developing new opportunities for young people through networking events, seminars, conferences, courses, mobilities and common strategy platforms;
  • Working with local high schools- so we have access to bring Non-formal education in a formal environment;
  • Informing young people at local, national and international reach about opportunities of collaboration and development on both personal and professional level;
  • Promoting the E+ opportunities such as European Solidarity Corps;
  • Facilitating mobilities and intercultural exchanges for young people;
  • Aiding the collaboration of NGO`s at European and International level;
  • Training and educating the youth to realize and appreciate the democratic values, by acting according to them;
  • Educating young people to improve the media and press competences;
  • Professional training and building competences for young people;
  • Collaborating with institutions, public administration and business sector in order to create new opportunities and improve the overall social satisfaction;
  • Raising funds and applying for financing for the projects set to develop the young people personal and professional development.

ASALT is a new organization (September 2017) but it is formed by people with experience and background in non-formal education, youth mobility and social initiative. Throughout it`s course of action the organization prepared a strategy and specific methods through which they can implement the activities at hand.

 

We try to be active in the local community and implement projects for young people. Here are some of our activities:

  • We do weekly seminars in 2 high schools from Bucharest: Ion Creanga and Gheorghe Lazar – here, the youth can learn about communication, future plans, relationships and any other topics that they propose. The seminars are implemented by our Youth workers and more than 20 youth participate in each week. We use many non-formal methods in our activity.
  • We have a group of 30 volunteers that come to our organization and can propose activities, they participate to trainings, they come to thematic workshops, etc.
  • We implemented cleaning campaigns in the park, we organized activities in the streets, we talk about education
  • We organize workshops about
  • We organize meetings in local libraries about European Opportunities
  • Our youth workers sign partnerships with high schools and they go and promote volunteering and E+
  • We try to keep in contact with local NGOs and develop long term plans  
  • Organize educational seminaries, and informational meeting with young people;
  • Organize meetings for exchanges of experience and culture;
  • Digital information and dissemination through social media networks and sites;
  • Producing and sharing materials required for the educational or informational purposes;
  • Managing meeting at local level to promote social involvement;
  • Promoting through all the activities our core principles and multiculturality;
  • Promoting freedom of speech, human rights, aces to free educations, independent thinking and equal opportunities.
